31/05/10.  Change in the Annex II of REACH to match the format of the MSDS to the CLP.

It has been published the Regulation (EU) No 453/2010 of 20 May 2010 amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), amending the Annex II of REACH to adapt the format of the MSDS to CLP.

06/05/10.  Working day about CLP with ASEFCA.
Last 06/May there was a technical conference about CLP with ASEFCA (Spanish Association of adhesives and sealants manufacturers) which was also presented to members the recent improvements of EQGEST and their adaptation to new regulation.

23/04/10.  It has been published the list of substances identified for registration in 2010.
The users can consult the list of substances identified for registration in 2010, the European Chemicals Agency has been published the list of substances identified for registration in the first registration date, the list can be downloaded at the following link: http://echa.europa.eu/doc/echa_chem/list_identified_registrations_2010.pdf

If one substance that appears in the final list is not registered, cannot legally be manufactured, imported or used within the EU after 1 December 2010, is important that users ensure that the substances that they use are included.

23/04/10.  Published Occupational Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in Spain 2010.

   The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health at Work (INSHT) has published a document that outlining the Occupational Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in Spain for the year 2010, this document is available at: Occupational Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in Spain 2010

So, the INSHT fulfills its responsibilities for the review, divulgation and application of the Occupational Exposure Limits for Chemical Agents in Spain.

01/04/10.  Change in the format of the MSDS.

REACH - Change in Annex XVII.

In addition to several amendments added a new entry related to the Dichloromethane in paint strippers.

Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Regulation CLP.

  Last December it has been published the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures, amending and repealing Directives 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC, and amending Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, this regulation applies to substances from December 1, 2010 and mixtures from June 1, 2015, incorporated into Community legislation the GHS on the classification criteria attempts to unify labeling and packaging worldwide.

EQGEST in the Catalan Association of Safety Advisers (ACCS).

   On 6 / March / 2010 the Catalan Association of Safety Advisers invited us to submit our software during the day of its general assembly. It was a very interesting day during which we shared views with the members of the ACCS. From our website we wish to thank the kindness of the association.

REACH.
  Last 1/June / 2008 came into force the Regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency, amending Directive 1999/45/EC and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 and Commission Regulation (EC) No 1488/94 as well as Council Directive 76/769/EEC and Commission Directives 91/155/EEC, 93/67/EEC, 93/105/EC and 2000/21/EC. The European Union attempts by REACH to modernize and integrate by about 40 existing regulations on chemicals in the EU.


Exchange Forum SIEF.
  The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), located in Helsinki, Finland manages the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction processes for chemical substances. These processes are designed to provide additional information on chemicals, to ensure their safe use, and to ensure competitiveness of the European industry. The Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) try exchange existing information on substances can be registered, There are currently about 2000 operational.
